Following are the spy pictures of the next-gen Bajaj Discover. The styling of the bike looks upgraded with new front headlight cluster holding minor-chrome inserts. For the first time, the Discover has got a gas-filled mono-shock rear suspension which is lagging in the current Discover. This feature will definitely make the new Discover to become more successful in the 125cc segment. Its competitors would be Honda CB Twister, Honda Stunner and the Splendor bikes of Hero Motocorp. It is expected that Bajaj will launch the new Discover very soon.

On the TVS is teasing the new Apache RTR, see the actual pictures of new apache rtr. From the pictures, it seems like new apache RTR is just a cosmetic facelift. However sources seen the bike says that the facelift is much more than that.

Skoda launches new variant of Superb

Skoda has launched a new variant of its Superb sedan, christened the Ambition. Superb Ambition is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant of Ambition features a 1.8-litre TSI engine while the diesel variant is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine coupled with a six-speed DSG transmission.

Ambition’s petrol variant is mated to a six-speed manual transmission gearbox. The safety features of the new variant include eight airbags, ABS, EBD, Anti-Slip regulation (ASR) and Traction Control system (TCS). Its exterior features projector headlamps with cornering function and its interior holds a single-CD player with MP3.

The prices (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) of Superb Ambition are as follows:

i) Superb Ambition petrol – Rs.17.6 lakhs

ii) Superb Ambition diesel – Rs.22.5 lakhs

Likewise, the prices (ex-showroom, Delhi) of Superb Ambition are as follows:

i) Superb Ambition petrol – Rs.18 lakhs

Bajaj readies Pulsar 200NS production version

It seems that Bajaj might launch its new Pulsar 200NS in this month. Bajaj is still working hard to introduce the bike as a perfect one and this might be the reason for the delay in the launch of the Pulsar 200NS. The company offers some minor changes to the Pulsar 200NS which include a more powerful headlamp and more refined engine components. The quality testing of the components of the bike is also undergoing by the company. After all testings and changes made, the Pulsar 200NS will be launched by Bajaj as a perfect bike much more than our expectations.

TVS to launch upgraded Apache RTR

TVS Motors is almost ready to launch its new upgraded Apache RTR bike. The sharp-edged existing Apache RTR, both 160 and 180 offer a mind-blowing performance and handling. The Apache RTR looks good and the RTR 180 holds ABS as its safety feature which is not present in many other bikes.

Likewise, the new upcoming RTR is also expected to offer a superb performance along with good handling and comfort. The styling of the bike looks updated with a new headlight fairing and new decals. Other details are yet to be revealed. Expect the new Apache RTR to hit the Indian roads soon.

Mitsubishi launches new upgraded Montero

Montero’s updated version has been launched by Mitsubishi at a price of Rs.40.50 lakhs (Ex-Delhi). The 2012 Montero features a refreshed stitching design on leather seats and new finish on power window-switch panel in its interior. The front part in its exterior holds an upgraded front bumper along with a chrome-finished grille. There are no changes in its engine range and hence the same 3.2-litre diesel engine only powers the new Montero also. The other new features of the SUV includes

Jeep to launch Grand Cherokee in India

Jeep, the American SUV icon plans to enter the Indian market by launching its Grand Cherokee SUV. Mr. Michael Manley, President and CEO of Jeep said that they recognise that Indian customers appreciate good value and they are keen to provide that with their Grand Cherokee.

The Grand Cherokee is built on the same platform of Mercedes Benz M-class. It looks tough with a seven-slat grille, large bonnet, exaggerated wheel arches and an attractive-looking rear part.

Jeep powers the new Grand Cherokee with a 3.0-litre V6 common-rail diesel engine which offers a very good power and torque. The engine has a displacement of 2987cc and is mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox.

It is expected to be priced below Rs.40 lakhs. After its launch in India, Grand Cherokee will be followed by Commander, Compass and Patriot models of Jeep. Other details of the SUV will be revealed soon. Stay tuned to get more details of the new Grand Cherokee of Jeep.

Hero to launch 250cc bike

Hero Motocorp plans to launch a 250cc sports bike in India in 2014 inorder to withstand its top position in the domestic market. Through this high-end bike, the company plans to enter into the overseas market.

Sources informed that Hero Motocorp has started working on the 250cc sports bike, which is expected to start selling in 2014. A person directly involved with the project informed that the product will be well-researched and futuristic in nature.

He also said that even as market research is underway, a prototype of the bike is ready. However, it’s subject to alterations as the taste of Indian two-wheeler consumers is expected to change dramatically with the country’s per capita income growing at a rapid pace.
