TVS new Apache RTR – Price List

TVS Motors has launched its new updated Apache RTR series at a starting price of Rs.67,505. In the new RTR series, all the technical specifications remain the same and the styling of the bikes only gets updated. The new styling updates include a new headlamp cluster featuring LED pilot lamps and a redesigned fuel tank.

The new Apache RTR also gets dual-tone colours, a carbon-fibre look shroud for the digital instruments and a revised seat. No other modern and advanced updates are seen in the bike. The new Apache RTR will compete with Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler, Yamaha FZ16 and the upcoming new Bajaj Pulsars.

The prices (Ex-showroom, Delhi) of the new RTR are as follows:

i) New Apache RTR 160 – Rs.67,505

ii) New Apache RTR 180 – Rs.72,090

iii) New Apache RTR 180 with ABS – Rs.82,780

Mahindra Verito facelift – Spy Pictures

The spy pictures of the new Verito facelift of Mahindra has been caught testing in Nashik. The new Verito has got a mid-cycle facelift and it features a new front grille with a chrome strip, re-profiled front bumper and fog lamp housings. The rear changes include new mountings on the rear-view mirrors along with slightly modified tail lamps and bumper. No idea about the interiors but is expected to be remain the same. The number plate has also been moved to the bootlid which is redesigned. Expect the launch of the new Verito facelift soon. Stay tuned for more details of new Mahindra facelift.

Mahindra to set up a new plant in Uttarakhand

Mahindra plans to introduce a new manufacturing plant in Uttarakhand at an investment of Rs.3000 crores. The production capacity of the plant would be 2.5 lakh units annually. This has been confirmed by the state government of Uttarakhand.

The government had stated that the President of M&M, Mr.Pawan Goenka had a meeting with Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna on April 26th. The statement also added that during the discussions, Bahuguna said the government would try to provide land to M&M at Sitargunj for the project.

Sources close to M&M said, “Goenka met the CM of state to discuss potential future investment in the state. The discussion was preliminary and we cannot comment on the details.”

Yamaha brings new color scheme for FZ-S

Yamaha has introduced a new Fiery Orange color scheme for its FZ-S motorcycle. The bike with the new color scheme features dual tone orange and black color in it. Along with this new color scheme, the 2012 Yamaha FZ-S also gets

i) New graphics on its tank

ii) Wider seat to offer comfort for the pillion

iii) Wider grab rails and

iv) Slightly modified rear mudguard

Other features remain the same including the 153cc, four stroke air cooled engine which delivers 14PS of maximum power. The engine is mated to one of the best gearboxes viz., the slick shifting five speed manual transmission gearbox. The main highlight of the engine is its attractive low end torque. With all these goodies, the 2012 Yamaha FZ-S will surely win the hearts of the bike enthusiasts.

Skoda launches new Fabia Scout in India

A new variant of Fabia christened the Fabia Scout has been launched by Skoda in India. It is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. Skoda powers the Fabia scout with the same 1.2-litre MPI and the 1.2-litre TDI engines of the Fabia. The engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

The Fabia Scout features projector headlamps, peripheral protective cladding and stainless steel pedal set. The front bumper gets a chin spoiler while the rear bumper comes with a diffuser. The car also gets tinted glass, dual airbags, integrated music system, remote locking along with leather seats with power windows in its interiors.

The ex-showroom, Delhi prices of the new Fabia Scout are as follows:

i) Fabia Scout Petrol – Rs.6.79 lakhs

ii) Fabia Scout Diesel – Rs.8.10 lakhs

Likewise, the Maharashtra ex-showroom prices are

i) Fabia Scout Petrol – Rs.6.66 lakhs

Tata to launch CNG variant of Nano

Tata Motors plans to launch the CNG variant of its small car Nano. The Nano CNG will feature an additional CNG kit and offers lowest CO2 emissions of 92.7gm/km. The company offers the new Nano CNG with an automatic cut-off CNG supply inorder to prevent the car from fire accidents. Its fuel tank capacity is around 35 litres.

The Nano CNG holds sequential gas injection system with calibrated EMS system to switch between CNG and petrol fuel systems. It will likely offer an impressive mileage of 25.4kmpl. Tata Motors will launch the new Nano CNG in mid-2012 in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat, Noida and Gurgaon. The price will be nearly twenty to twenty five thousand higher than the existing Nano.

Ford reveals images of Ecosport production version

The production model images of Ford Ecosport has been revealed. Ford India plans to launch the SUV in the country in the later part of this year. Ford offers the Ecosport with  a lot of good features and it also holds a conventional headlight assembly and a spare wheel cover. Its major competitors would be the Mini Xylo and Renault Duster.
