Hyundai launches all-new Elantra

The all-new Elantra has been launched by Hyundai in both petrol and diesel variants. The sedan comes with four diesel engine and three petrol engine varaints. The starting price of Elantra petrol variant is Rs.12.51 lakhs while for the Elantra diesel variant is Rs.12.91 lakhs.

Toyota launches limited edition of Liva

Limited edition of Etios Liva has been launched by Toyota to celebrate the first anniversary of the hatchback. The limited edition Liva has been christened Liva TRD Sportivo and will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The ex-showroom, Delhi prices of the petrol and diesel variants of Liva TRD Sportivo are Rs.5,23,691 and Rs.6,32,281 respectively.

At the launching ceremony, Mr.Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director, marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM), said, “The Liva TRD Sportivo limited edition is a trendy and sporty vehicle for the ever-enthusiastic and vibrant youth of today. Ford launches Classic Titanium

The Fiesta Classic sedan of Ford has been renamed as Ford Classic. Also, a new top-end variant of Ford Classic was also launched christened the Classic Titanium. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available and the prices of the petrol and diesel variants starts from Rs.6.86 lakhs and Rs.7.82 lakhs respectively. Both are ex-showroom, Delhi prices.

The six available colours of Classic Titanium are Paprika Red, Panther Black, Diamond White, Chill Metallic, Moon Dust Silver and Sea Grey. The attractive features of this variant include

Mitsubishi launches all-new Cedia at Rs.8.9 lakhs

The 2012 Cedia saloon has been launched by Mitsubishi with a lot of goodies at a price of Rs.8.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The car now features halogen headlamps and a horizontal-slat matte-black grille. There are no modifications in the engine option. The additional features of the car include

i) A portable seven-inch android-based 3G tablet

ii) Bluetooth/USB connectivity in the audio system

iii) A rear-view camera with the video output

Renault Duster – Price List

Renault has launched its Duster SUV in India at a starting price of Rs.7.19 lakhs. The Duster is available in eight variants with both petrol and diesel engine options. The SUV will be powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine which has two states of tune viz., an entry-level 84bhp version and a top-end 108.5bhp version. Duster features a black-finish lower-part front bumper, partially mixed black and body-coloured wing mirrors and so on along with a lot of goodies.

Tata Nano in partnership with MTV

To celebrate its over 1 million fan base on Facebook, Tata Nano launched India’s first ever Social Road Trip, Nano Drive with MTV, which was a coming together of sorts of digital and real world. Tata Nano partnered with MTV India to create a unique driving experience and to leverage the online medium to treat travel enthusiasts with a 20-day, over 2000 km, exciting Nano drive covering the length and breadth of the country.

The ball started rolling with call for entry to register for the drive on www.mtvindia.com/drive. A Facebook page and a twitter handle were also dedicated for the drive. Within 2 weeks of going live, the Facebook page dedicated to the drive garnered close to 1,50,000 fans, with more than 80,000 of them actively talking about it on the page during the drive. Tata Motors, MTV and Nano fans together then went on to select 4 teams for this drive. Each team, comprising 4 members, represented 4 zones of the country – North, East, West and Southwith VJ Rhea, VJ Jose, VJBani& VJ Nikhil from MTV leading the teams respectively. The teams wereallocated 4 different routes to be covered in 20 days in a Tata Nano. The teams had to overcome obstacles, tasks and move up the ladder. The 4 VJs met and interacted with the respective teams on a regular basis egging their team to go that extra mile.

The teams had to earn the money to cover their drive and were also awarded points based on their performance during the tasks allotted. Social media played a pivotal role in this unique road trip as viewers were given a chance to vote for theirfavorite teams online.

The drive flagged off on May 28th 2012, with teams beginning their journey from 4 different cities – Delhi, Chennai, Guwahati and Ahmedabad. At every stage ofeach of the teams shared the highlights of their respective journeys through, posts, updates, photos and videos. Exciting vignettes featuring the 4 teamsjourney were running on MTV for 4 weeks. At the end of the drive, which culminated on 17th June, 2012, Team North was declared the winners.

The final episodes would feature the participants, their journey and the 4 participants from the North team being awarded a Tata Nano each. The winning team’s most ardent fan would be chosen based on his/her participation in the entire drive through the votes, likes and updates on the social media pages of the drive. Chevrolet launches upgraded Cruze

The all-new upgraded Cruze has been launched by Chevrolet at a price of Rs.13.85 lakhs. The new Cruze features a powerful 2.0-litre engine which delivers 164bhp and 38.7kgm of peak power and torque respectively. The engine is mated to both six-speed manual and automatic transmission gearbox. The three available variants of the saloon are LT Manual, LTZ Manual and LTZ Automatic.

The car holds a lot of goodies like leather upholstery, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, foldable and heated outside mirrors, rear parking assist, rain sensing wipers, cruise control on steering wheel, anti-glare rear view mirror and music streaming via Bluetooth and so on. The new Cruze is likely to compete with Volkswagen Jetta, Skoda Laura, Toyota Corolla Altis and Renault Fluence.

Tata Nano launches an interesting

From being one of the most popular automobile Facebook page, to coming up with a unique Social Road Trip with MTV, Nano is surely resonating with what the youth today feels. Tata Nano has now, come out with an interesting opportunity for young film makers – ‘Nano Short Film Competition’. This competition will give them a platform to showcase their talent and reward their creativity with prizes that will help them pursue their interest better. The participants are supposed to share an interesting idea of a 5-minute short film featuring the Nano, but Nano need not be the central character of the film. 12 most interesting ideas selected will get Nano for a stipulated time to shoot the short film. Bajaj has priced its new Discover ST as Rs.60,000 (On-road) and Rs.55,000 (Ex-Maharashtra). The recently launched new Discover Sports Tourer (ST) of Bajaj holds many new goodies which include an impressive styling, Monoshock Nitrox Suspension, Anti Vibration frame, Petal Disc Brake, aggressive fairing with sharp edged headlamp, five-speed gearbox and a muscular fuel tank.
