Maruti Suzuki has officially announced the launching date for its all new Ciaz on 6th October.It comes as a whole new design replacing the SX4,with interiors that is being built to offer premium experience. The Ciaz will be offered in 10 variants with 2 engine options.Thus there are 4 petrol variants namely VXi,VXi+,ZXi,ZXi+.Besides,automatic variants have also been added in the name of VXi+ Automatic and ZXi+ Automatic.Whereas,the diesel trim includes VDi,VDi+,ZDi and ZDi+ variants.
The petrol Ciaz would be powered by 1.4-liter K-Series four-cylinder engine that gets mated to the 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox ,whilst the diesel variant will be powered by Fiat-sourced 1.3-liter Multijet engine that gets mated with an only option of a 5-speed manual gearbox.The maximum of 95 PS of power and 130 Nm of torque is being delivered from the petrol motor while the DDiS unit delivers up to 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque.
The features of base variant includes projector headlamps, electrically adjustable ORVMs, keyless entry, USB and AUX connectivity.The higher trim gets leather upholstery, climate control, rear AC vents, 15-inch alloy wheels, parking sensors, driver side airbag.The price bracket would fall within the range of Rs 10 lakhs starting from Rs7.5lakhs(ex-showroom,Delhi).The bookings have been started and the number has crossed 6000 even before its lunch.So,it’s not a surprise that Maruti Ciaz will hit the market with a great success betting against Honda City,Hyundai Verna,Volkswagen Vento.
