The long awaited “Elite i20” premium hatchback of Hyundai,is to be launched on 11th August,while bookings have been started from today at affordable price range starting from Rs.5-7.5lacs at ex-showroom price.Implementation of the brand’s “Fluidic Sculpture 2.0” design,at Hyundai Motor’s Design Centre Europe in Russelsheim , Germany,gives the “Elite i20”, second generation of hatchback,an elegant look.Though the technical specifications for the new model has not yet been revealed,it is expected to be powered by 1.2 and 1.4 litre engine albeit with minor modifications.
The most curious thing regarding the new model,is the addition of a new wraparound window and boomerang shaped taillights at the rear profile and dark treatment of C-pillar at the side profile.The front of the car features a new hexagonal grille and a thin horizontal strip which connects the headlamps,considered to be the company’s new signature.Due to the distinctive and sophisticated design of Elite i20,it stands as the leading competitor against Maruti Suzuki Swift,VW Polo, Honda Jazz, Fiat Punto Evo and Tata Bolt.
