Maruti Suzuki to issue Van to compensate Versa

India’s prestigious car maker Maruti Suzuki has designed Van to counter its aging model Versa (the production of which has since been dropped due to low sale volume). At the recently held Friendly Vehicle Conference the company’s Executive Officer revealed that the new van will replace Versa at least by the end of this fiscal. The report about its price is yet to be made public.

The company has set in one million vehicles by the end of this year by making use of all might in addition to models meeting the norms of Bharat
Stage IV. Maruti Suzuki is not full in terms of meeting the Bharat Stage IV norms for all cars but the stage has come to enter into that foray, said Mr. Rao. Further, there will be electric and hybrid cars in future plans along with cars of alternate fuels.
