For the first time,the spy shots of the new Maruti compact SUV codenamed YBA has been spied out.It is almost in a production ready form,so it could be expected to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 as Maruti iV4.Now lets have a closer view at this silhouette.It gets a good mix of sporty and rugged appearance thus looking more exciting than the new YRA premium hatchback.Following the new and bigger Suzuki Vitara SUV,albeit YBA,an even more compact version(obvious from its length that will measure about less than 4 metres), has been spawned out from the design traits of the Suzuki iV-4 concept SUV showcased at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show.The crossover retains the following features like tapering window line, angular tail-lamps and the ‘open-mouthed’ lower air dam.However,the grille has been toned down to a simpler one with horizontal slats rather than the vertical ones.Further the wheel arches don’t have the excessive cladding and the windscreen is steeply racked back.The glasshouse gets a a cockpit-like look due to the presence of a floating C-pillar.This compact SUV is likely to wear its spare wheel on its tailgate yet the spy shots doesn’t reveal anything about this.The engine option is to be carried over from the Maruti’s existing range of the engines.To compete with its rival EcoSport, YBA that gets muscular styling is about to be packed with a lot of equipment.
