Honda has done some revamps to the existing facelifted model of the CR-V in terms of mechanical upgradations and cosmetic tweaks.The features like headlamps, front grille, fog lights, skid-plate and bumper are said to decorate the front fascia.Whereas,the features like LED combination lamps, a refreshed tailgate design and bumper have been added to enhance the rear appeal.Thus the four-wheel drive variant of the fourth-generation CR-V will now be empowered by the new 1.6 litre i-DTEC four-cylinder from Honda’s Earth Dream Technology Series.Being mated to the six-speed manual transmission unit the new engine will deliver up to 158bhp of power.It also tends to reduce the carbon emission by 11%.The option of nine-speed automatic transmission unit has also been provided due to which the carbon emission has found to be reduced by 22% than its predecessors.All new CR-V will soon make its global debut at Paris Motor Show later this week.Regarding its sales,we can expect the launch of four-wheel drive version enabled with low-powered 118 bhp diesel motor in Indian market by 2015.In case of petrol variant,the existing 2.0 litre petrol will be offered with the choice of choosing among two or four wheel drive and manual or automatic five-speed transmission unit.We will soon fetch you the details of price factor and performance figures.
